My review:
I was recently contacted by a company called OMGNailStrips and asked if I’d like to try out their nail strips. At first I said to myself that I would not review this product, simply because I’m not good at all with nail strips. I’ve never really been the one to use them. I’ve tried them before and failed miserably. But before I answered them I went on their website to take a look around to see what they had. I thought they had some really cute designs and thought this could be something that my readers would like so I accepted their request. The nail strip that I chose was the Pink Kisses Nail Polish Strips. There are 50 styles to choose from and each set costs $6.89.

OMGNailStrips currently has a special going on where you can pick any 4 sets of nail strips for $20 (use code 4pack) OR pick any 10 sets of nail strips for $45 (use code 10pack). Plus, FREE SHIPPING on all orders.

The nail strips arrived in just a plain ole’ envelope with no instructions on how to apply them. At first I was like “What is this? How can a company send out their product inside a plastic bag in a plain envelope?” And thought to myself that it was unprofessional and it made them look like a low class business.

How it was packaged in the envelope.

Since there were no instructions given to me I had to improvise on how to apply them. Here is what I did: I washed my hands and scrubbed my nails with a nail brush. Dried my hands off so there was no water or dampness on my nails. I then opened up the package and tried to take out one of the sets that was in the plastic bag. Well that was a fail. As I was taking it out of the plastic it some how got stuck on it and ruined that first set. I then went and took out the other one. That one came out fine. So now I had one and a half of nail strip supplies to work with.

So with the remaining nail strip supplies I applied them to my nails. These nail strips were a bit of a struggle to put on. First problem I had was taking them off from the back of the little paper. It took me about 3-5 minutes just to get them off. It was a bit of time consuming for me. After a while I got frustrated with them. Then there was the plastic layer on top of the nail strip. At some point it was easier to have them on top of the nail strip because it gave me more control over them, then at other points it was annoying. The nail strips itself is very sticky and it does stretch which in my case was a good thing considering I already lost about 3 of them due to it sticking to the plastic while I was trying to take them out. Once I got the nail strips in place on my nails I bent the strips downwards and rubbed against my nail making the nail strip easier to cut off at that point. I then smoothed it out with my fingers and added a top coat to it.

Because I was short on some of the nail strips I had to use the ends of the ones I’ve already used to apply to my other nails. Yes, the nail strips itself is pretty long and actually worked out good, in my case. The nail strips however did not last long at all. They started to “chip” or peel within a few hours and within two days they were fully peeling.

After I had applied them to my nails, I went to check my email and seen that I’ve received an email from OMGNailStrips stating the reason they were sent in just the envelope was because their new packaging was currently getting reprinted and that the directions on their old packaging was not to their liking. Which is understandable but I would have liked it if it was in it’s full packaging. Even if I had to wait a week or so for the new packaging to get done. They did give me a link to where I can get the instructions on how to apply them. I wish I had checked my email before applying them to my nails maybe the nail strips would have lasted longer and looked better then the way I did them.

Initially, my overall thought about OMGNailStrips was that I would not be using them in the future because of the hassle I went through but then I started thinking if I had the instructions right from jump then my experience would probably be different. So the question remains, would I use OMGNailStrips in the future? I probably would as long as it came with instructions.

Have you tried OMGNailStrips before? Did you like them? I’d love to hear your experience with them in the comments below.
