My Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe #NYMBeachBabe Influenster Review:
I received a travel size sample of Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing shampoo and conditioner as part of my Surf’s Up VoxBox from Influenster. I’ve never heard of the Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe brand before this VoxBox.

First let me tell you what I like about this shampoo and conditioner. It smells absolutely AMAZING!! I just love that coconut smell. It really just takes me to a happy place. As soon as I opened up my VoxBox I could smell the aroma of coconuts and instantly my mind went right to the beach off an ocean. I liked how it made my hair look a lot shinier so that’s a plus.

Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Shampoo & Conditioner

Now for the parts I didn’t like about this shampoo and conditioner. When I first shampoo’d my hair, my hair felt so dried and so rough that I was like “Oh my gosh, this is not normal!, Is my hair going to fall out?” My hair became so tangled that it was hard to run my fingers through my hair. I conditioned my hair hoping that it will make my hair soft again. It didn’t quite do well in that department either. I mean it did get a bit soft but I can still feel how dried and rough my hair was. I started to think maybe it was only like this because it’s still wet. I then dried my hair out with a towel, then air dried the rest of it. Although my hair was a lot shinier, the next morning my hair was so poofy and felt really waxy. I don’t think that’s normal!

Overall, I felt like this product sucked all the moisture out of my hair leaving it a lot drier than normal. I love how it smells and I love how it made my hair smelt but I just didn’t like the results I had. I don’t recommend anyone with dried hair to use this product but I do recommend anyone who has flat and oily hair to try this product. Just because this product didn’t work for me, it doesn’t mean it’s not going to work for you. All hair types are different and everyone has different results using the same product. So give it a try and see how you like it.

Have you tried Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Shampoo and Conditioner before? I’d love to hear the results you got from using it in the comments below!
