Four Signs It’s Time To Side Hustle That Hobby

There is a definite difference between having a hobby and having a job. One of them you do for fun, and one of them you do to pay the bills. However, what if you could have the ultimate luxury of combining the two? What if you could make money from the hobby you love so much? Most people would say it’s a pipe dream because not many people get to make a living from the thing that they love to do so much. It’s the ultimate scenario to bring in money while you do something that you love, and if you can do it, why wouldn’t you?

You can see people all over the world making money out of what they love. You have Jorge Hank Rhon making money from gambling owning casinos and you have David Beckham making millions for simply kicking a ball. There are plenty of people who are wealthy because they’re doing the thing that they love the most, and there is nothing out there to say that you can’t do that, too. Do you really need any further encouragement to get out there and do what you want for your future? If you currently invest your time into a hobby, here’s four signs that you are in the right time right now to turn your side hustle into a hobby.

  1. You’re investing a lot of money in it. Whether you are doing this with your salary or your business expenses, you need to recognize that if you’re willing to pour your money into this, it makes sense to make money out of it. Spending all of your money on something you love is a good idea – it’s what you should be doing. But if you are spending it all and not getting a return, that’s not overly smart! Pour in what you can and make it a business instead of a hobby. You’ll keep loving it because you won’t be doing it for free anymore.
  2. You know what you’d charge. Whether you’re making clothes or you’re baking cakes, figure out what you would charge per item and start making a little cash out of it all. You can ensure that your hobby hustles for you when you are confident about the money you can make from it. No one has a hobby for free if they don’t have to, and you can join the ranks of those who make money doing the things that you love.
  3. The research shows money. Have you done your research into the income potential of your hobby? Now may be time to! You can make the switch from hobby to side hustle when your hobby income beats your day job. Imagine baking cakes in your kitchen for more money than your full-time job made!
  4. You love your hobby. Not everyone loves their day job, and nor should they have to. However, if you love your hobby more than you love your job, then it’s time to start thinking about making money from it and letting go of the 9 to 5!
