Amazing Jobs That Are Good For Your Mental Health

We have all heard everyone complain about their job. The getting up, the getting there, and the being there.

If they are so miserable, why don’t they just quit?

Well, it’s not that simple. Bills, responsibilities, families, health insurance…the list goes on as to why someone just can’t up and leave their job. An even bigger question is: are you one of those people? If you’re not, then how do you not fall into that same trap of having to work 40 hours a week or more at something you absolutely hate?

There are lots of jobs out there that pay well, give back, and help you feel you are contributing to the world. When we feel like we are making a difference our self-esteem is higher, our self-confidence grows, and our mental health is positive and healthy.

Not only does dog-walking allow you to be active and walk around town, but it allows you to be around dozens of your furry friends who are guaranteed to put a smile on your face. If you’re walking someone’s dog that means they are busy and if you weren’t around the dog would not get the attention and love and care it deserves. You would be doing a human a huge service and a cute dog as well.

Graphic Design

If you are the creative type and you love to draw and design, then graphic design might be great for you. So many people need designs created but do not have the skill set necessary to make it happen by themselves. In these cases, they need to find someone who can bring their vision to reality. If you have that skill set, you will be doing someone a huge service and may be able to help them grow their business. It’s also good for you because you’ll be doing what you love, and in many cases you can freelance and work on your own schedule.

Writing

Another great freelance job where you can be your own boss and make your own hours is freelance writing. Every industry needs a writer. If you have the skill set to write well then you will never be out of a job. Whether it’s medical, education, entertainment, or marketing, great writing is always in high demand. Not many people can write so you will be offering a service that will help on a large scale boosting your confidence in your craft and making you feel great about how you build your life.

Nursing

Nothing makes a person feel great more than helping someone back to good health. Nurses get to do this job everyday. Even though the hours can be long, nurses are grateful that they can help save lives and be with people when they are sick.
